Rosé produced from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot grapes. A dry well-rounded palate, with fresh clean crisp acidity; cherry and strawberry fruit follows through from the aroma. Lightly oaked. Pale salmon pink in colour.
Well suited to salmon, prawns, Coq au Vin, pork rillettes, ratatouille, fresh berries, and charcuterie meats
Le Bourbon takes its name from the Commandant Beaurepaire (Bourbon) Rose, which has light pink, fragrant flowers with flecks of purple and scarlet.
60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot, retaining good acid levels and emphasising flavour. Fermented in stainless steel, with 10% fermented in French oak to give a subtle oak flavour. Pale salmon pink in colour.
Aromas of rose petals, strawberry and a fresh hint of vanilla oak complexity. A dry well-rounded palate, with fresh clean crisp acidity; cherry and strawberry fruit follows through from the aroma.
Will improve in the bottle for at least 4 years from bottling.
Vin et Gastronomie
This wine will work with a robust selection of seafood and vegetables, like smoked salmon or grilled prawns and roast red peppers, yet matched with a salad niçoise.
Other possible matches include Coq au Vin and pork rillettes. A slow-cooked ratatouille with plenty of olive oil will similarly work well on your palate. Rosé is also perfect with fresh berries.
